While playing, my display randomly decides to totally freeze up. The screen maintains the image, but doesn't respond. I can hear sounds coming from the game as a move or click. I haven't been able to restore the display ever, and I'm forced to close the application. I've tried updating my display drivers, updating Java, and reinstalling the game. I generally use 1.10.2, and it seems to be MUCH more common when there's more than 10 or 15 players on the server, often as little as a minute of game time before it freezes. Anyone have tips? It's making Minecraft often unplayable.

Happens to me on servers too, seems related to server lag, but after some seconds it goes back to normal(on 1.10.2 modded). May be the server fault, or a lag spike in their end

Could be related to that, though I've never seen it recover.

I play on high settings. I generally never get lag or any other issues, and I've tried optifine with no real noticeable improvement.

I'll post if that works. The updater said my drivers were up to date, but I'll download it anyway and test it.

Still having issues. It's hard to test since I can't predict when it'll happen, but just froze twice.

And it recovered?

Nope.

Once it happens again, hold F3+C for 10 seconds to manually trigger a crash report, give us the link when that happens
