Minecraft is a game I put on all my devices, it just seems like a game to kill time while working, or to enjoy with friends. So, I was disappointed at first to see that I couldn't run current update Minecraft on my iBook G3 I recently purchased. It always shows a message, stating to check console for errors. I'm assuming it has to do with my current version of Java being outdated. I thought it no big deal, so I scoured the internet for an original version of the Minecraft launcher. It seems to load just fine, save for one issue; every time I attempt to log in, I get a message, stating the launcher could not connect to Minecraft.net. I've attempted to use BlockLauncher, only to have the game crashes upon playing an offline game. So, to summarize this entire thing: is there any way to get Minecraft running on an iBook G3?
The version of java needed by Minecraft was not ported to the powerbook macs, also, that pc has a 500Mhz cpu, 128MB ram and a ATI Rage Mobility 128, dont expect anything to run in it, maybe linux but its pushing it

There were multiple models of it, the one I have had that GPU, but contains a 700mhz CPU, and will soon have 512 MB of ram.
That GPU is under the minimum requirements, that CPU is too, then ram is too. Again, if you manage to get linux running on that pc is already a miracle

That laptop is nowhere near the minimum requirements

I understand. But I have gotten Minecraft running on devices well outside the minimum requirements
That's why I'm asking.

I believe there's already a port of Lubuntu for PowerPC based computers and notebooks
Then try to run it under that, but as im saying, that computer shouldnt be able to even run linux
