Pretty simple, when I first had my PC, minecraft ran very smoothly, could get up to 120fps in vanilla single world, 90fps online, and 60fps with 20-50 mods, however, throughout the course of a month or so, (excuse me for my french) that all went to ****. Now i can manage to get 20 fps in vanilla singleworld, 15fps Online, and I don't dare try using mods, i attempted it before and well I could get around 5-10 fps. Is my system rusty? Or what is going on? I have tried to change settings in Minecraft, I have put them on low settings and on high settings, I have used Nvidia and selected to give Minecraft high performance priority, I have worked on multiple things before, however, my Minecraft is just ****. I can run Watch_Dogs, FarCry Primal, The Evil Within, DeadRising 3, Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor, Ryse: Son of Rome, and so many other high end games, but my PC can't handle a 3D game of pixel graphics? Are you shitting me? Honestly, I haven't deleted Minecraft yet because I have hoped that one day i will find a solution that actually works, but well that was almost three years ago, so please, I would really like to continue playing again, it was a game i once loved dearly, but now haven't touched for years, here are my system specs, any and all help is appreciated.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210M CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz
Installed memory: 8.00 GB (7.88 Usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
EDIT: I thought I should mention some of the solutions I have tried in the past, here they are:
Uninstalling Minecraft and reinstalling it
Installing the 64 bit version and the 32 bit version
Clearing my game (erasing all data)
Giving Minecraft performance priority
Turning ON and OFF VBOs
Putting the graphics settings on the lowest possible quality
Putting the graphics settings on the highest possible quality
Installed optifine (all variations)
Given more RAM to be used in Minecraft through the launcher
Tested it with multiple accounts, all work the same on my system
Switched the framerate to 60 and to Unlimited
There are other things I have tried, but it was so long ago that i no longer remember what I did.
You didn't state what version of MC your currently using. If your PC is 3 years old, and your trying to run newer versions of MC (1.8+), then yes, you might run into problems.
I would also like to mention that though what you say makes sense, even though it would seem to be the issue that my system can no longer handle newer versions, I cannot run older versions as well, and I cannot play on 1.7.9 or versions prior without the same amount of lag, so the version I play on doesn't seem to affect the amount of lag I recieve. I am (and have currently) attempted using the newest version (which I believe to be 1.11.2, whichever one is the newest version as of January 5th, 2017)
And THANK YOU for the reply, I do not know if you could possibly help fix my issue, but any kind of reply is better than anything, so thank you very very much.

Post a DXDiag report for hardware specs.

I did what you said and posted a DxDiag Report, here it is: http://paste.ubuntu.com/23744023/

Curse PremiumThe only thing I can think of its because your using a laptop. I see a lot of posts about lag on laptops. Do you have a desktop/tower model?
