I've got an issue with Minecraft ever since I've updated to Win10 when the free upgrades started rolling out ages ago. My desktop doesn't have any issue, but my laptop does. I'm stuck at work for the next couple days and would like to be able to play Minecraft.
Whenever I attempt to play the start screen is horribly laggy, along with the gameplay it's self. I can't even play on the tiny 2 chunk render distance. Whenever I stand still it seems to run fine, but as soon as I move it lags.
I've found other threads that have helped other people with Java arguments and such, and I've tried them all with no results. Some seem to maybe get 2-3 frames increase and that's about it.
Does anyone have any advice or can help with my situation?
Specs for (trash) laptop:
Win 10 Home 64bit
Intel Core i5-4210U @ 1.7 Ghz, can be OC'd to 2.4
6144MB RAM
Intel integrated GPU @ 2GB
Your laptop is not actually that bad, and considering that your desktop has no issues at all running the game, I would blame the Intel integrated GPU in your laptop for the low frame rate. Integrated GPUs are usually not powerful enough to run 3D games (especially Minecraft with it's horribly inefficient rendering code) without tweaking of the graphics settings.
You can try downloading the latest graphics drivers from Intel.
In the video settings, you can try enabling Fast Render (optifine), Fast Math(optifine), lower the render distance, enable VBOs, and set your graphics to fast.
Selecting fast math helped, but nothing noticeably different. I tried to update with the intel drivers but intel doesn't even recognize any intel product on my laptop. So I genuinely think I'm screwed. I appreciate trying to help guys.

Current arguments:
-Xmx4G -Xms4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -client -d64
OptiFine arguements (when used):
-Xmx1G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M
I have a worse laptop than you, but I work perfectly fine.
I had the same issue before. My laptop has 4GB of RAM and I allocated 2Gigs to Minecraft.
But after I read another forum thread, I found out that allocating more RAM can lag the game. So, I just allocated 1G. Now, it works fine.
Maybe you can try allocating less RAM until the lag disappears.
Hope it helped.
