This seems to be a very common issue and I've tried the suggestions from the other threads and google. I've updated my video driver, i've tried increasing the memory using Java arguments, I've updated java environment. I've reduced graphics settings. THe game closes after about 3 seconds after loading and I get the access violation error.

This seems to be a very common issue and I've tried the suggestions from the other threads and google. I've updated my video driver, i've tried increasing the memory using Java arguments, I've updated java environment. I've reduced graphics settings. THe game closes after about 3 seconds after loading and I get the access violation error.

Probably you need to update your Intel video driver (and still keep VBO's off).
Thanks, that's why i posted the second crash file - i figured it was differently.
Unfortunately i went through the process for updating the driver already last night. I can confirm later on that one. I'm not optimistic though.
