I was trying to play with my friend on 1.11 vanilla Minecraft. I decided to host a LAN server and I opened it.
My friend joined and this was where the problem started.
I could see my friend's and my skin through my screen, but my friend could see his skin but saw me as Alex through his screen.
This bug is driving me nuts. Please help!!!
Its usually caused by antivirus software blocking the game from communication properly with the skins server. Can also be caused by malware doing the same.
This is how the game works. Mojang has been uninterested in making the host's skin work 'normally'
then there is nothing i can do about it???
you can not use "Open to LAN" but run a real server instead. Then all player's skins will work dynamically.
yeah i have a real server too. I just wanted to use lan cause it is a little simpler.
But maybe i can just use the real server
