So i have this issue where forge 1.7.10 will not start. I have tried almost everything, reinstall of both forge and minecraft, deleting the mods folder, and using different launchers like AT launcher. Nothing worked. Even without mods, the game still doesnt start, it goes through the first part with the little anvil animation, loads up everything successfully, then that sequence ends and goes to what sould be the title screen, but instead, nothing but black. no sound, and it is not that common error where the screen is squished into a corner, its entirely black. It didnt even give me a log, so this is my last hope, the only things left i can imagine doing is reinstalling java; (i may be on 7), or if that doesnt work, completely hard reset my computer and delete evrything, but before i do that, give me some options on what i can do.

hum... can you post the log please? the fact that it didnt give you a log doesnt mean theres no log at all. have a look at your .minecraft/logs folder.

Curse Premiumupdating to java 8 is absolutely recommended, it might even be the cause of your problem.
also check your graphic drivers etc.
if this doesnt help, please provide us a dxdiag log. http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/support/#dxdiag

Curse Premiumtry to set the java executable manually in the launcher, so your new installation actually takes effect. http://www.ghacks.net/2015/03/11/change-which-version-of-java-minecraft-uses/
i did, still a black screen. This happens on 1.8 too.
