Hello all, basically my problem is that my minecraft runs at a constant 60 fps, which is not bad but still, others with similar laptops have around 100-200 (some even 300) fps whilst playing. My laptop is the MSI GE62VR Apache Pro: 16GB, Intel 6 Gen Core i7-6700HQ and a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060 graphics card. I also have 64-bit java and I allocated 4 gb of ram to minecraft( I heard that is a good amount) and i switched it to run with the High-performance INVIDIA Processor (i believe) and i am stumped. With my render distance at 10 and graphics fancy or fast it sits at 60 fps with unlimited frame rate. This is my first gaming laptop and I am fairly new to all of this, but I know my computer should be able to handle minecraft better. By the way I have tested my fps on single-player mostly but i get around the same on servers. All info would be greatly appreciated! thank you!
Since your running a laptop your PC is probably running Integrated graphics with your nvidia one. Launch minecraft using your nvidia GPU not the intel one.

I also have the Razer cortex which supposedly should make games run better, but again, im stuck at 60 with the highest ive seen at 62.
Update: i deleted minecraft out of the razor cortex library to see if that would fix it, it has not fixed it. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
