I just began running about 35 mods on my client and have been experiencing very unstable frame rates (70-18 fps!) . The odd thing that confuses me is that my gpu and cpu are at a constant 40-60% load (so nothing is restricting them), and when I put a lite shaders pack on, my frames dip to 20 ish, but both my gpu's and cpu's load remains about the same. I am using Optifine, which helps a lot, but I was wondering if the cause is incompatibility with the mods I have installed.
I want to say that you have a some kind of limiter set at your cpu in the settings. And did you turn on an option in optifine that helps with fps fluctuation?
yes, I do have "smooth fps" enabled in optifine, and I recently tried 1.11.2 and there was a considerable notice in improvement, so could it be my hardware configuration, and would this cpu limit be in the bios?
Sorry I am not sure about that. I have not used BIOS much to help you with that. The unstable frames must just be caused by where you are in the world.
