Create a new profile in the launcher

didnt work bro im met with a blank white screen and the same error with a "game output tab"

Your profile is trying to use a Java that isn't there.

The launcher is saying it cant find C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_40\bin\javaw.exe, edit the profile, make sure that JVM Arguments its not ticked(if it is, untick it and try again), tick it and change the location to the one where you have Java installed(it might just be another version)
