I've been attempting for several hours now, digging through forums and guides on youtube, but everything I try to get custom sounds in resource packs to work doesn't fix the issue.
I'm running Minecraft 1.11 with the newest version of Forge, and I've been trying to make my own custom texture pack for fun. Textures work fine and there is no issue there, however when I try to over-write sounds with the resource pack, nothing happens. What I wanted was for the sound effects for taking damage to be replaced by the taking damage sound effects in Fire Emblem Sacred Stones. I downloaded the sounds, used Audacity to make them OOGs, and then put it under the "damage" section in the "sound" folder. I popped into a test world, and it still had the original sounds. Any help?
