So, as the title says, my keyboard completely locks up at random points when i play the game.
It seems to happen at random. Sometimes immediately after heading into the game, sometimes after hours of playtime. I can be standing still, I can be walking around, I can be placing blocks, and it'll happen.
The entire keyboard becomes completely unresponsive, no keys work, can't Alt+F4, or Ctrl+Alt+del, or anything, yet the mouse still works, and I can look around and mine / place blocks, but I can't open the inventory or the escape menu, so I can't exit out of the game.
The only option I have at this point is to kill the power to my laptop and start everything anew. Not that this is too much of a problem, since my laptop starts lightning fast, but it's a major buzzkill.
I'm running a legit, unmodded client, I've tried uninstalling everything, and redownload the client to no avail.
I've tried googling the issue, but all i've come up with is the old "press W and I keep moving forwards after letting go until i press W again." Apparently, I'm the only person in the world with this issue. Hope I'm not, cause i need some backup as I am completely stumped.
I am running unupgraded 64 bit Windows 10, got an Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.60GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M, and 16 Gigs of RAM. Everything is up to date and I've not come across this issue in any games other than Minecraft.
If anyone can give me a helping hand with this it'd be MUCH appreciated.
seems to me it is not the game but the keyboard, try moving it to a different usb port, if it has its own program like razer products, make sure that is working. all the drivers are up to date blah blah blah big words to make me sound smarter

If updating razer(and you have a keyboard from them) doesnt work, try uninstalling too, it causes some issues for me

As my OP said a couple times, it's a laptop. Lenovo Ideapad Y700. Not using an external keyboard.
But shortly after i posted this, I found that my keyboard stops working in other games too. Mainly Java and unity based games.
Also had a bluescreen some time ago, and found that the keyboard doesn't work in the BIOS. At all.
So I've pretty much chalked this up to Lenovo being bad, and not Mojang / Microsoft.
I've tried Lenovo's forums but all I'm getting there are automatic bot responses that don't tell me anything I don't already know.
Looks like I'm stuck with this for the long run.
