Hi, I've just managed to fix my minecraft after a forge update download ruined it. I installed my mods that I used before and allocate 2GB RAM to it. But now it says :
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
Then I used 1GB and played my game. As expected, the game was VERY laggy.
Is there another way to allocate more RAM to minecraft? 1GB is unplayable to me but the launcher doesn't allow 2GB.
PS. One of my main mods that I use that the Lord of the Rings mod.
Yeah you're going to have to bump it down to 1.75 GB unless you find another way to reduce RAM usage of your system. (If you're running anything while playing MC, try closing them and running with 2GB)
If you want a technical explanation of this, when you launch MC, the computer assigns RAM for use by MC and only MC is allowed to use it. If you try to use more memory than your system has, then the computer will crash. However, most programs won't run unless there is enough RAM for them to run without issue. That's what's happening here. You only have 4GB in your system, so some of that is dedicated to running the Operating System, and when you try to allocate 2GB to MC, if finds out that there isn't enough RAM that is free.
Judging by your CPU, it looks like you have a desktop. So, if you find you want more RAM, upgrading it should be fairly easy. There are many tutorials on YouTube for upgrading RAM on a desktop, and even for many laptops. However, if I'm wrong about you using a desktop, I'd advise having a professional install the RAM unless you feel you are ready to mess around with very small parts. Also, be sure that you buy DDR3 RAM @ 1333 Mhz or 1600 Mhz, as those are the memory types supported by your processor. I'd recommend upgrading to 8GB instead of 16GB unless you've also got a discrete graphics card in that system and want to be able to run higher end games.
TL;DR
You don't have enough memory in your computer to handle MC with 2GB because something else is running and taking up over 2GB of your RAM. Either upgrade your RAM or set MC to 1.75GB or 1.5GB if 1.75 doesn't work.

Sorry, I've tried both but it still says the same xD
Install 64 bit Java. This will allow more than 2G memory allocation. Make sure the Launcher uses this version of Java.
When I download the installer from the website, I click on it but why nothing happened? I tried clicking on it again but it says that it's installing another. Dang my PC is full of problems

System Specs?
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
64 bit Operating System
Java 8 update 111
Is that enough for you?
Try 1.5 or 1.75 GB

"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
Good call, I figured his launcher already pathed to 64-bit Java since he had it working before, but maybe it reset on its own.
