I'm having this problem, while I'm in Forge 1.7.10 with my mods on, I had them for like a month now, and I start lagging while holding an enchanted item while in fullscreen, and this only happens with forge. I usualy play on practice server which I usualy pot pvp/builduhc, which is the sword enchanted and it drops to 25 fps, which isn't good for playing. My JVM arguments are by default, since I'm not in able to allocate more.
Mods: Xaero's waypoints, ArmorStatusHUD,StatusEffectHUD, bspkrs core, CpsMOD, KeystrokesMOD, Optifine, PlayerAPI, TCPNodelay MOD, togglesneak. The point is, when I'm in windowed mode, it's not lagging while I put an enchanted thing in my hand, but in fullscreen it does. With optifine, I can play normally, but I just can't without my mods... Would like to see some help since this is a specific bug.
I removed them one by one untill i removed them all, that's not the thing. Client log is specially not, since it doesn't lags in windowed mode, only in fullscreen...

Are you using any shaders or resource packs?
if so, have you tried without them?

Using a texture pack, tried without it, same thing happens. Tried reinstalling minecraft, still nothing.
Can you upload a client log? Might be something in there.
Possibly one one of the HUD modifiers as well. I'd go through those configs and see if certain settings alter this.
Could also be out-of-date video drivers.
all of the above is pure speculation
