I was trying to get shaders for my 1.11 modded world and so far have installed optifine. I downloaded a shader pack, went to the shaderpack folder, placed the folder named 'shaders' in there, opened up minecraft 1.11 with forge, it said it was installed so I went to setting selected Vidio settings clicked ok shaders and the only two options were 'OFF' and '(Internal)'. In the bottom left folder there is a button that says Shaders Folder clicked it and it brought up the shader pack folder and the pack was just sitting there! Please help I don't know what's wrong but I'm getting really irritated, I'm on a mac with forge 1.11
I don't know how to unzip a file or if it is unzipped but when I download a shaders pack it's already a folder? I don't know if that's supposed to happen

A Zipped File Will Look Like it has a zipper. (i Have put i picture in attaachments)
Having Your pack zipped makes it unusable.
Use Winrar It is free and super easy to use.
it help to unzip a folder with ease. WinRar
Which shaderpack are you trying to install? I don't know why people are telling you to unzip the file. Don't unzip. Every shaderpack I'm familiar with is downloaded as a zipped file. You shouldn't be getting a folder when you download the shaderpack. Simply place the zipped file into the shaderpacks folder.

Thanks blaze for informing me on that, I can see now it's already unzipped
Got a screen shot
What shaders do you have?
I Might be able to fiddle around and see if it works for me.

Put it on another folder, the shaders folder alone will not be initialized, it must be inside of a folder with a name on it
Like this: Sildurs Shaders-->shaders-->final, composite, gbuffers_terrain, etc.
NOTE:
Don't extract/unzipped the file if it already contains a "shaders" foler inside of it. Just drag it in to the shaderpacks folder.
