I just did a fresh install of Minecraft after I upgraded my graphics card. I figured I would be able to use shaders now, so I downloaded SEUS to give it a shot. On the "Far" render distance setting with SEUS set to the "Extreme" profile, my FPS is barely pushing 30; my GPU is reaching a 90% load according to GPU-Z. The only "addons" for Minecraft I've installed are Optifine and SEUS. Is this normal? Is there anything I'm missing?
Here's my rig:
i5 2500k @ 4.2GHz
Gigabyte GTX 1060, 6GB VRAM
16GB DDR3 RAM
120GB SSD (This is what I've got Minecraft running off of)
650W Power Supply
1080p Monitor
Sorry if there's anything I've missed! Just trying to get a good-looking Minecraft before really digging back into the game. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Even setting SEUS to the "Low" profile, I'm only getting just over 50 FPS. Help!
There's got to be something else killing your card, OR if you have a second card, you may be running it on the wrong card (playing on a monitor plugged into a Quadro, instead of a GTX 1060 [Which is something I've done]). If you do have multiple cards, that may be the problem. Otherwise, there's something else killing your card.

That's strange. I have roughly the same specs (less vram, more cpu cores) and I'm running it at 60FPS in 4k No problem.

Any ideas? I'm also only running it at 1080p.
Is this normal behaviour? I assumed a 1060 would be good enough to use shaders but I can't even get 60fps on the "Low" profile for SEUS.

From the looks of it. Your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU.
