Hello! I was having an issue earlier today that I hope could get solved. I don't have a modded version of Minecraft, and even re-downloaded it from Minecraft.net while trying to make it work. Anywho, while trying to launch Minecraft version 1.5.2 (to play with some friends of mine), Minecraft kept crashing, and I kept receiving this Crash Report;
---- Minecraft Crash Report ----
// Shall we play a game?
Time: 11/17/16 8:46 PM
Description: Failed to start game

at avv.a(SourceFile:56)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:507)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)
A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- System Details --

The funny thing is, I hopped over to my laptop to give it a try, and it worked perfectly. No hassle, aside from needing to create an alternative profile. So that leads me to believe something is up with my desktop...can someone find out what's wrong in this very detailed Report and give me some pointers on where I could possibly start to fix the issue? Thanks a bunch for any help!
Okay...well I'm unsure how this thread ended up in the modded section, considering I clicked "Unmodded" and it even showed "Unmodded Support" in the preview...
Is there a way I can move this thread to the correct section, or can someone just delete this thread for me so I can move it myself, please?

Maybe try loading a different version and see what happens.
How do I even go about fixing that? Like I mentioned in the post, I deleted Minecraft and then re-installed it directly from Minecraft.net. Unless Minecraft didn't erase everything with it, the only thing I could think is causing that message is a modded save I got off the Internet a while ago.
Could that possibly be the cause?
EDIT: I feel the need to specify I have no other mods on Minecraft other than the aforementioned save. Absolutely nothing.

The current version works well, but any of the older versions just seem to crash.
Right. All I had to do was delete the modded save, and re-download the client and presto! It worked.
Great!
