i ran into the issue after i moved to my old laptop because my quad core laptop broke.
anyways i have updated my drivers so now it loads to the mojang screen then crashes before it loads the rest of the way then it throws this error.
I've been a minecraft player since alpha and this is the first issue i couldnt figure out by using google for a few hours.

tried the steps at minecraft.net for pid error and gfx rror pixel support. fixed but now this error.
This laptop o am stuck using for the new few months is a
gateway m-series
i bought it in 2008 so its very old. but runs roblox and other games. Also runs phpstorm when i am working from home.
intel mobile(r) 965 graphics
intel centrino core duo
3gb ram (runs other games but with lag)
so if anyone can help me out it would be great to have it working agian. i play minecraft with my younger sister every day and shes been bummed out not being able to play games with me when i am not working. i have tried the first 10 pages of google . please can you guys give me some insight.

In the future 1) Don't hijack someones thread, make your own. 2) Learn what graphics hardware is, casue you didn't actually list any. 3) From the games Title Menu select Options, then Video Settings, scroll down and make sure Use VBO's are set to Off.
The Intel 4 Series (and older) video cards are unable to play 1.7.4 and future versions of Minecraft. You will need to buy a new video card or computer to play new versions.
For now, you can still play 1.7.2 or older versions of the game.

Hi,
i ran into the issue after i moved to my old laptop because my quad core laptop broke.
anyways i have updated my drivers so now it loads to the mojang screen then crashes before it loads the rest of the way then it throws this error.
I've been a minecraft player since alpha and this is the first issue i couldnt figure out by using google for a few hours.
anways this is the error that prints out.

Ok you already found the graphics hardware so we can skip the Dxdiag.
Due to the fact that you have a Intel Mobile 965 Chipset, you will NOT be able to play anything above version 1.7.2 of Minecraft.
If you can't run 1.7.2 or lower, install the file found here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/17407/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-Driver-for-Windows-Vista-32-exe-?product=81508
