So I recently built Tango Tek's iron titan in a singleplayer survival world and it requires a dispenser shooting an item in a nether portal every 8 seconds. Now every time an item shoots through the portal the entire world lags for a second or 2, mobs freeze, blocks reappear when broken, rubber banding while riding a boat, delay when opening chests, everything. Does anyone know of a solution? It's getting really annoying...
My PC is a 64-bit and minecraft usually has 5GB of dedicated ram.
This makes it worse. What mods do you have installed? Any resource packs?
I dont think the ram has anything to do with it because when I play vanilla minecraft with 6GB ram it doesn't lag at all and when I play on the Forge profile with the default ram usage, it still lags. Also, regardless of what mods I have installed I lag every 8 seconds, including if I don't have any mods installed and I only use the forge profile... with no mods, it lags. And I've tried with and without any resource packs and it lags when I use Forge. Currently I've been using Dokucraft, but even with the vanilla texture pack, it lags.
If I play vanilla minecraft entirely, no mods or modmanagers or anything, just solely vanilla minecraft, it doesnt lag at all. If I just use optifine (with specific settings) it doesnt lag at all either.

Running the latest version of Windows 10
Ram - 16GB
CPU - Intel i7-4720HQ
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M
Here's an idea. Don't have 5gb of ram allocated. Post your JMV arguments.
Post game log in a spoiler.
Also, this should be in support.
My mistake, this probably doesnt make it better but I use 6GB of ram, not 5, and the JMV arguments for all of my profiles are just
-Xmx6G
None of my other worlds lag like this one does and it only started lagging once I build the iron titan.
Also I'll remember to post this type of stuff on the support forums, thanks.
UPDATE: I found the problem with the lag. It's Forge that's causing the lag, I havn't found a solution yet but when I do I'll post another update.
