I don't have a great laptop but I can run Minecraft pretty well. But every few minutes my minecraft lags a lot and my frames drop to about 5. When that happens things like teamspeak start lagging and my microphone goes all corrupted. I really want to get this fix as it happens a lot and need teamspeak open while on minecraft. So now if I want to talk on teamspeak I have to close down minecraft fully to be able to talk. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
Laptop Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3530 @ 2.16GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00GB (3.89 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
A new "cheap" system depends on your budget, whether or not it needs to be a laptop, and whether or not you'd be willing to build (or have a friend/family build) a PC.
Also, it's not your only option. Your current system should be enough to run MC; I suggest you run task manager while you play and see what's being maxed out.

Curse PremiumHave you tried installing Optifine? It adds many optimization things to make the game run better.

I have Optifine installed and it still happens.
Your only option is to get a better pc
Ok, could you recommend any that are relatively cheap but can run Minecraft and other apps well?

Also, how much ram do you have allocated to MC?

This is frequently caused by having modified Xmn under the mistaken belief that it controls the minimum memory size.
