I have a Mac running on OS X Yosemite. I tried to run Minecraft this morning and it refused to launch. The icon in my dock bounced (as they do) but stopped immediately with no prompt or even attempt at bringing up the launcher. I thought maybe it had to do with Java, so I tried updating that. Then I attempted updating and restarting my computer. Still it wouldn't run. So I decided to backup my files and uninstall the entire program from this computer and then redownloaded it from the main website just to get regular vanilla Minecraft to run. I checked the ~Library/Application Support/minecraft file and all that exists is a nativelog
I am baffled and distressed as it was working fine about a week ago on this computer. I had been running pixelmon/forge on it prior, but right now I am just trying to get the basic game to launch.
