Alrighty, so for the last month or so, on occasion, my game'll freeze up, and when I go to close it (or force close with task manager,) I get a nice little error window letting me know that "Java(TM) Platform SE binary is not responding." Great.
So, today, finally fed up after this happened for the fifth time in an hour, I go to the great and powerful Google machine and try to fix it myself. I find a few forum posts about the same issue, and the answer that seems to crop up is 'You're not running the right Java'. And I think to myself, well, that's an easy fix, innit? I just need to get the 64-bit Java to match my 64-bit OS, according to these posts.
So I download this'n;
Now it'll run for all of four seconds before it crashes! Yay! And I couldn't remember (i.e. didn't bother to check first) what previous version I had. So, I uninstalled Java off my computer entirely and tried this one next;
Same results, double the frustration. There's a part of my brain saying, "Third time's the charm!", and that part can go to hell. I've been trying to fix this myself for the better part of an hour and all I can say is, I've done eff't up. I only hope Minecraft is the only thing I've messed up.
Please help me. I'm not sure what info would be needed so... here's any info I can think of that'll help diagnose this?
Windows 7 Home Premium
8.00 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System
AMD FX(tm)-4130 Quad-Core Processor (3.80 GHz)
I use Chrome as my browser and I know Java can affect that, so will I need to download multiple Javas?
EDIT; this seems to be a recurring bit of info coming out of the 'Game Output' tab every time this happens;
[01:31:40] [Thread-5/ERROR]: Error in class 'CodecJOrbis'
[01:31:40] [Thread-5/ERROR]: Ogg header not recognized in method 'readHeader'.
[01:31:40] [Thread-5/ERROR]: Error in class 'CodecJOrbis'
[01:31:40] [Thread-5/ERROR]: Error reading the header
Those error logs indicate that one or more of the sound resource files is corrupted.
I'm not sure if that would cause a crash or not.
You really need to provide much more in the way of logs. Each thing you did could have changed the crash to a different crash.
For example, you changed Java versions. This can mean that your MC profile is now set up to use a Java version that has been uninstalled, and that would be one error message. Then you changed to a 32 bit Java, that can mean that your Java parameters trigger a different crash because the memory configuration is invalid for a 32 bit Java.
Crud, didn't realize how important those were gonna be. Trying to figure out how to get access to previous logs. I'm trying to crash the game again to get access to that tab but now I'm having issues.
I opened the game, but now it won't crash. However, before I did this, I had a village with 6-7 guys in it. Last time I spawned, the game insta-killed me and said I was killed by Husk. This time, all my villagers are suddenly dead and gone, except for one that's been switched to a zombie. My previous games kept crashing every time a villager makes their 'hah' noise so maybe that's something to do with it?
EDIT: Whenever I go to bed this happens;
Would an uninstall and reinstall of Minecraft help at all? And how do I get access to previous game output reports?

Well that would have something to do with
[01:31:40] [Thread-5/ERROR]: Ogg header not recognized in method 'readHeader'.
and the launcher log would be applicable there. MC should automatically attempt to re-download every resource that doesn't checksum correctly, on every launch.
