I have a Computer and a Laptop, both run Windows 10 and have it's own Minecraft account. No mods installed on either computer.
Every time I open it to LAN on my computer, the laptop can see it, when connecting to it, it is timed out.
When the laptop opens to LAN the computer can not see it.
Both have 1.10.2, I tried it in the same room and separate rooms. I just recently bought the second Minecraft account and I would like to play with my brother, we are both under the same internet and have very good connection to it.
The Minecraft Customer Service isn't open on weekends and I have been looking for help on the forums for 3 days straight!
Try those 3 out. In that first link, OP manages to get his LAN working. Maybe it'll help you as well. The other 2 links below that should help if the first doesn't work.

Just to be sure, both computers can play on normal servers correct? And they are both on the same internet connection/ connected to the same router? If yes, Id say its certainly something with your internet/firewall settings on the computers. Try disabling the anti-virus on both, and see if it works.
Run "ipconfig" in command prompt, write down the ipv4 number under LAN, then click direct connect and enter the ipv4 number with a colon and the port number afterwards. Example: port number is 98776 ipv4 is 123.456.1.4 enter 123.456.1.4:98776
Are they both connected to the wireless or both wired to the modem? If not, then that is your problem. Although usually both can't see each other. Anyway, try connecting both computers to either wireless or wired and it should work perfectly fine unless there is a different problem.
Yes, they are both connected to the same internet, wireless connection. Mojang contacted me back about download the newest version of Java, I did but no new results happened. Thanks for your support, I really hope for better results!
