I didn't know where to put this thread so I'm just going to put it here. Ok, so, my friend and I want to create a LAN world but it's not working. We are both on the same wifi, so I think it has to do with our computers. I have a Mac and my friend has an Acer. Can anyone tell us what to do?
If one of you runs a world and opens it to LAN in the Game Menu, then it should show up on the others Multiplayer list and they should be able to join. (If one of you is running the demo then they have to be the one to open their world to LAN)
I have a Computer and a Laptop, both run Windows 10 and have it's own Minecraft account. No mods installed on either computer.
Every time I open it to LAN on my computer, the laptop can see it, when connecting to it, it is timed out.
When the laptop opens to LAN the computer can not see it.
Both have 1.10.2, I tried it in the same room and separate rooms. I just recently bought the second Minecraft account and I would like to play with my brother, we are both under the same internet and have very good connection to it.

What happens if you try that?
Just testing.
