Hi, had a recent issue with a LAN game I'm hoping someone could explain - I sometimes join my pal's world at lunchtime at work, using the Open to LAN thing & joining via multiplayer. No issues til today when the company installed some Internet Security software called ZScale; this software forced my friend to "Play Offline" in the launcher. However, he started his game OK, but i couldnt see his game on the network under "Multiplayer" like it normally shows. I think this ZScale program does something to the LAN as well, it has an interface which showed his network IP address; I used this with the port number his game generated, and was able to joing his game fine, EXCEPT that i was dumped at the world spawn and all my gear I was wearing/carrying was gone. I also had the female skin as well. It was like i had joined for the first time. But my friend confirmed I was the same player name I always am. Anyone understand what happened, and what happened to my other "self" with all the stuff he had?

You are not the same player as you were before if you went into offline mode.
In order to get your stuff back, you will have to play in online mode, because MC checks UUID-s for players and indentifies em with that, online and offline UUID-s are not the same.
