I always like to play Minecraft, especially modded, but today I have seem to run into a problem. I was loading the HermitCraft FTB modpack on Curse, as I recently signed up for a server that uses it. I haven't been able to play it yet, and today was going to be today, until something happened.
I pressed the play button at 5:45 PM. It is now 7:30, and I am STILL waiting for it to finish loading. This is ridiculous. Normally I've always had a problem with loading times when running a modpack. Usually 3 minutes minimum to 10 minutes maximum when loading a modpack like Crash Landing or Project Ozone 2: Reloaded. Here is the current status: https://gyazo.com/66420bf13144b2152404c0b4efc7dbaa
That is almost a TWO HOUR WAITING TIME... That is insane!
Does anyone know why it is taking this long? I have the RAM on Curse set to 4 GB, so it shouldn't be taking that long. I don't have the *best* computer, but it is still fast and I can play a lot of games without anything like this happening. I've wasted a good hour and 30 minutes sitting at my desk, either watching the screen or on my phone. I am pretty angry. Could anyone shed some light on this?

Why are you reading this? I have nothing interesting to put here.
Had the same issue, but in my situation i was just running out of dedicate amount of RAM. Check for processes and RAM usage in Task Manager while launching game.
You might just have too many mods for your computer to handle. Another option is to increase the amount of ram you have allowed, which you can do in the launcher. Hopefully this helped!

Sorry for late-ish response This is what it looks like currently: here and here

Look, you have 4G of RAM totally, you cant dedicate all 4 to minecraft, because there's a lot to do on background. The max that you can set is 2G.
But i think, what basically happens is java eats more ram, than your pc has.
From what i understand, you won't be able to launch this modpack with current set up. Sorry.
Ah, well that makes sense. I guess that shows my knowledge of computers. Lol.
