So for the past few days I've been working on a football stadium on my laptop and today I was going to open the world and it didn't show up! I checked my saves folder the world was there but it didn't show up on my worlds menu! Is there any way I can get it back by doing something with its file or not?
Make a backup copy of your world folder just in case. Then go into the folder of the world that you want to recover. Then delete thel level.dat file and rename 'level.dat_old' to 'level.dat'.
FYI: level.dat_old is a backup of your level.dat file from the previous session so you may lose a little progress
If that doesn't work zip your world and upload it to Mediafire and then ask Ritter for help on this thread providing link to world file and basic info like what version of minecraft your world is and what version was it created in if you know that:

First try this:

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
I tried the level.dat thing and it worked. Thanks!
