My Minecraft keeps totally freezing anywhere from 5-60 minutes after joining a server. It happens on every server (haven't tested singleplayer) and I have to force quit and rejoin. The one time I had my memory usage up, it was only at 37% when it froze, and I've allocated 4gbs, so I don't think it's a RAM issue. Furthermore, I think I can still input and if I'm close enough to a block before freezing I can hear breaking sounds when I left-click. All my drivers are up to date, and freezes when using optifine as well as not.
I'm at a bit of a loss, and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Fullscreen, I couldn't say if it's happened in windowed. It doesn't actually become "not responding", no. Just stops changing frames, really. I'll test some and come back with the results.
Alright, so far singleplayer hasn't presented any issues. In addition, windowed mode seems like it MIGHT be delaying or preventing the freezing, though it's hard to tell on account of the random nature of the problem. Also, I've noticed that maybe it might be worse when connected to a larger multiplayer server, as opposed to a smaller one. That said, could be just coincidental.
I've got to bump again. I've tried to reintstall, no fix. This is making the game nearly unplayable, and I need to get on my server. If anyone has any tips, I'd be very appreciative

Dont allocate more than 1G to minecraft, it makes it run worse and the lag spikes longer.

No, I don't.

Scratch that, windowed is sill having issues.
Bump. Updated my Java, still persists.
