I am having HUUUUUGE issues with Optifine. First of all, when i try to play with optifine for 1.8 and above, I don't get much of a fix. Well I do get 50-70 FPS, but every 5 seconds, it will just drop to 0 FPS. EVEN STRANGER...When I play 1.7.10 optifine and below...I get 70-100 FPS(WITH NO SUDDEN DROPS!!!). I have followed a lot of youtube tutorials, but they don't work! Can anyone help me?!
P.S. Here is my PC specs...
Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) 150 processor 2.90 GHz
RAM: 2GB (1.75 Free)
System Type: 32-bit operating system.(IDK if that matters...)
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4200
They say Optifine is for bad computers, but i'm starting to doubt that...

Then make sure. Those are typical symptoms of "user messed with memory settings that should not be messed with" issue.
Sorry I wasn't on...I was busy. Yes they are the same! Should I make any JVM changes, updates, additional mods, or what? I just want to get rid of the sudden 1.8 optifine drop.
P.S. There is a lot of drops on singleplayer but more in multiplayer.

Most common cause of "weird", "sudden", "regular" FPS drops is users messing with the Xmn argument. It shouldn't be touched. Ever.
So I want you to make sure you haven't messed with Xmn in your 1.8 Optifine profile. If you did, then restore Xmn to its default value.
No I have not EVER! I've never even clicked it to type on it. I know I can update it to allocate more RAM, but I don't have enough to do that. So now what?

Minecraft 1.8 introduced a major graphical engine overhaul that, among other things, made Minecraft (supposedly) more optimized for multi-core processors. Optifine tweaks that mechanism further, because Mojang's optimization was junk.
Your CPU is a cheapo single core one. There's a lot of things that can go awry here, aside from messed up JVM setup.
Enable Optifine's lagometer and grab a screenshot with it on screen when FPS starts dropping.
I attached a screenshot(if it appears). I tried to take it when it said "FPS 0", but here is what some of the lag-o-meter picked up.
If I can't play with that reason, oh well! I've taken a liking to 1.7.10 Survival anyways! (Or I will just play with 20-34 FPS on 1.8, because I'm grateful I get any at ALL lol)
P.S. I can't upgrade my CPU, because this is a PC I got for free from my online school. They say I'm allowed to install games and other apps, but not upgrade my hardware.

Yes I believe so! If not...any ideas?

So i've checked the JVM, I am going to lower ALL the settings, but is there anything else I should do?
