I am getting very low fps with the shaders mod for Minecraft 1.7.10 and I have no idea why I have tried changing some settings but didnt mess with most as I didnt wanna crash the game.
I have 8GB of Ram allocated. I had advanced Open GL on Multi core and I did see a little bit better results but then the textures would flash black and act very strange.
I have AA turned off I cant imaging how bad it would run =p
Huh, that is pretty strange... It should be working fine, and your specs are high enough so that bottle necking shouldn't be an issue, have you tried updating (Or possibly downgrading) optifine?
I believe im just using forge to be honest to run the shaders and im running optifine but in terms of shaders I have everything from Seus and mr meeps to rudoplays Kuda shaders and chocapic.
The flickering and what not (and maybe lag?) could be caused by some settings in your nVidia control panel. Go to the 3D graphics options inside the nVidia control panel (should be on systray) and basically turn everything off that way the game itself will handle those settings. I had FPS/Flickering/Lines between blocks with or without shaders issue back in 1.7 and this fixed it for me. Just a guess!
Edit: I think the option 'Let the 3D Application Decide' would be satisfactory as well.

How much ram are you running minecraft with?
Do you have multi threading, or Advanced OpenGL turned on?
Have you tried turning down AntiAliasing?
