Maxed out optifine settings, render distance at 7
Java 1.8.0_25 64Bit
Ok, so I am writing because on the day of getting my computer, I downloaded optifine, minecraft, shaders and all of that. I played on minecraft servers at 120fps avrg with shaders, and 300-400fps without shaders with all settings maxed out(except for render distance). However, after three weeks of use, it seems like my FPS has dropped significantly as I only get around 60-80fps with shaders and my fps fluctuates between 120-300fps without shaders. Since then, I have restored my Nvidia Control Panel settings, uninstalled minecraft(deleted all mc related folders and removed the application), downloaded Minecraft again and set it to use the NVIDIA card(I know it does because I have GeForce Experience and it shows FPS in the corner when I am using the card).
My Nvidia drivers are up to date.
What I also found weird is that I have Java 1.8.0_101 64Bit installed on my computer, but Minecraft is using the 1.8.0_25 64Bit..?
(I just recently got the 64bit Java, btw)
What could have caused this and what can I do to fix it?
Also, Im not saying that 60-80 fps with shaders is low, its just that I expected the fps to stay the same and Im just wondering what couldve caused it to decrease so significantly.
well, I know its using the card because i have the FPS counter overlay from GeForce Experience, which I think only shows up if a game is using the card. Is there another way to check and see?
