I threw a bunch of potatoes and carrots at them (combined, they might have a stack each). Instead of breeding, one of them is just standing still doing nothing, and the other one keeps breaking, picking up, and planting the same 2 crops repeatedly. I'm aware that there is no sun for the crops to grow. I was planning on bonemealing them myself. The white thing in the middle of the little farm is a piece of carpet. I was too lazy to search for a lilypad.
I built a rail system through the nether to get them from a village to my base. In the overworld, my base is about 2km away from the village. One of them was transported while still a baby, so he had no breeding whatsoever xD
I don't really have any other details to share. The room thats supposed to be simulating the village is right there in the gif. Doors on the sides, dirt on the ground, and different types of stones everywhere else. A bunch of torches are lighting it up, and I have 2 villagers in there. One of them is a fisherman, and the other one is a letherworker.
Looking I can't see any open sky which is required for the villages and also the doors would not be recognised as valid from what I can make out in the picture - as they have the same amount of roof blocks on either side.
He is correct. For a door to be recognized as a house it has to have skylight within 5 blocks on a straight line of one of the flat sides when it is closed.
Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this?

Thanks for the advice.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
