I came across this too and I'm 11 and I didn't start up minecraft because I was afraid it will start a p*rn video while trying to start minecraft so I didn't start minecraft.
I just wish I can get in with the police see if they can start tracking this idiot and see if he can get arrested because this is unacceptable and I'm sure this hacker already got some kids and teens in trouble with their parents.
Lets have a moment of silence to how many kids and teens that got in trouble with their parents just because of a hacker.

EDIT: It appears to have been fixed. Loaded up the launcher 3 times again now, and it's back to regular.

i just looked at the Minecraft launcher today and it's back to normal but I look at the powered by tumblr and I know so many people use tumblr so I think someone hacked the Minecraft launcher news page on tumblr.
So I booted up the MC launcher to this lovely sight...

It's not just me, I was skyping with a couple friends, and they both had the same rather not kid-friendly update screen.
Just putting this here as a bit of a warning, if your kids are going to play Minecraft today, start it yourself.
EDIT: It appears to have been fixed. Loaded up the launcher 3 times again now, and it's back to regular.

Did either of you get any kind of infection from this? Really wish mojang would say something about this, they just swept it under the rug it seems.
I had this problem once. except only whithout the dirt coloring.
No, it's completely safe if you don't click anything inside the launcher. Just click play as usual.
