I have played Minecraft on PC for a while now, but for some reason, I am having trouble logging in. It comes up with an error every time I try to log into my mojang.com account.
Here is the error once it fails logging in: Sorry, but we couldn't connect to our servers. Please make sure that you are online and that minecraft is not blocked.
Then it shows a line under that which I have no clue what it is: (SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to request target)
I have redownloaded minecraft, redownloaded Java, ran Norton Security, full system scan. Ran Malwarebyes Anti-Malware custom scan which included all my drives, yet they weren't able to find anything.
Weird thing is, I can't log into minecraft.net, but I can easily use the same password and email toward mojang.com. So it is obvious there must be something wrong with my account right? No, I went on a different computer, my laptop, easily connected to minecraft.net, easily connected to mojang.com, easily connected to minecraft PC version.
After that, I went back on my desktop, tried going to minecraft.net and logging in on Microsoft Edge (Note: I am on Windows 10), Google Chrome, and Mozilla FireFox. Not one worked.
So I am really sad that this is happening, I would like to know if there is something I can do to fix this.
A problem might be that I was banned from a server, so what I did to counter that and get back on the server was using MCLeaks, which I had to download an authenticator to access the account. I have no clue if it has something to do with it, but I deleted it.
Things you may need to know: Internet: Perfectly fine.
Security: Norton Security and Malwarebytes Antimalware.
Time: In right time
Java: Reinstalled, no corruptions as far as I know.
Norton's Antivirus program and firewall are known to interfere with Minecraft's login and server-joining process. Currently the only way to fix it is to uninstall it. I recommend Avast! AntiVirus as an alternative
Okay, but thing is, it is actually my dads, he is the one who controls Norton, and if I uninstall it, he will probably get upset at me, is there a way to go around this? Should I turn off the firewall for fifteen minutes (default till it comes back up) So I can access minecraft?
Thanks!
EDIT: I tried what you said, though it seems that it doesn't work.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
To take the test, check out https://minecraftnoobtest.com/test.php
I did get rid of it, even in my first post, I said that I did use it, but got rid of it after. Does this somehow conflict with my minecraft? If so what will I have to do to fix this problem.
then clean your hosts file out, normally i would give more detailed help but seeing you installed software to steal minecraft accounts and not pay for the game, thats all i will say
Thanks for the help! My account is back up and working! Though, I have payed for the game with two accounts, one is my main, another is my alt and when others come over to play with me.
Anyways, thanks for the help! I was really stuck on it, I have learned my lesson, I won't do so of what I have done again.

I would do what this site says to add an exception for Minecraft.exe: http://techin.oureverydaylife.com/add-exceptions-firewall-norton-security-22279.html
