I have an ASUS laptop with Windows 10 that should be able to run the more recent versions of Minecraft. However, every time the installation finishes, a small window pops up saying that it has been corrupted and to try again. I have done this about three times. I know this laptop should be able to run it, as my friend has the exact same one and is able to play Minecraft easily. Any help?
Did you try just running minecraft after the installer gave you this message?
On two Win 10 PCs I had a failure message after installing, but minecraft ran just fine. Transient errors like that can happen due to antivirus software scans.
