Whenever I try and open the minecraft launcher, it tries downloading the runtime and then I'm met with, "Unable to start the Minecraft Runtime Environment. This is most likely caused by a corruption. Please try to reinstall Minecraft.". I do as it says, and reinstall Minecraft about three times, still doesn't work. I delete the .minecraft folder in appdata. Still doesn't work. Any recommendations?

Is it your computer? Are you downloading it from minecraft.net? What OS are you using?

Try using the old java launcher (it's the one for 'other' operating systems)
