I've just gotten Optifine on my computer and recently on a single player world I noticed 'OpenGL Error: 1286 (Invalid framebuffer operation)
Keeps popping up in my chat. It's not spamming or anything it just shows up at times, and I'm curious.
I just got Optifine (and changed a couple settings) but I'm not sure what would be causing the error, or what the error is XD
It isn't urgent but I'd like to know what it is (out of curiosity) and how to fix it.
Thanks
Quick quote from what causes the issue: "this error is produced when your system hardware is struggling to keep up with what your attempting to render in game".
The error it not necessarily related to optifine, as the problem in the past has originated from the "Shaders Mod." Optifine in recent versions includes shaders, which can cause the glitching. Though it doesn't cause performance issues, the constant message can be annoying. Other users have eliminated the problem by switching to another version of optifine, finding an optifine without shaders, or getting a mod version of "GSL Shaders", and not just "Shaders Mod". I'm not sure, but I think optifine lite might come without shaders.
Another user fixed their issue by fully updating their computer:
Fully updating graphics drivers has fixed it for some, but not all.
Turning off VBO, lowering render distance, switching the "advanced GL" option (if it exists in your version of optifine), lower graphics, getting rid of clouds, shadows, changing refresh rate, frame rate, and over-all lowering graphics quality, has also helped the issue for some users, but not all.
