First, I'm sorry for being a total noob. My kiddo can't get Minecraft to work since I ugraded my computer to Windows 10. I followed the directions on that thing that comes up when you click "fix the problem" and it didn't fix. I googled and failed at finding an answer. Can anyone help me to become a super cool mom again?
How are you trying to use Minecraft? Are you using a launcher that has profiles on the lower left? If so edit the profile and select launcher visibility, leave open. Then when you try to start Minecraft it will have a launcher log that you can post.
Main problem: upgrading to Windows 10. Did you check to make sure the PC was Win 10 compatible before upgrading? According to HP, that model is 5 years old. I hate to say it, but you might need a new computer to play MC.

Your GPU is an intel HD series from an i3, which is of the sandy bridge family, that GPU is not fully windows 10 supported, you can either get a real graphics card installed, downgrade to windows 8 or earlier, or you can try using an older java as that sometimes fools the GPU into working but its patchy and not long term

I thought that but didn't want to say it without trying to look at some kind of log.
