I'm totally lost with this at this point all of my mods do this and I can't find the solution anywhere. I will launch and watch the log and everything is going fine until the last second I get booted back to the instances tab, I'm running windows 10 on an older laptop but I am able to run mods using the Technic launcher just fine. I've made sure all of my drivers are up to date so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.
e.g. when I launch the Karma mod pack I get this log before being booted back to the instance tab.
Your Laptop is obsolete and not Windows 10 supported. There are no proper drivers. Period.
Check compatibility BEFORE upgrading Windows.
Only reliable fix is to not use Windows 10. Or get a new PC.
Yes, vanilla launched by Mojang's launcher or Curse works. Because those use horribly outdated Java that misidentifies your OS as Windows 8. Using that with mods may work but will be rather unstable, expect random crashes.
Thank you. My laptop updated me automatically so I didn't have much of a say in the matter. I was due for an upgrade anyway.

I cleared the log then tried launching Revenge of the C-team

Any help is appreciated at this point I'll try almost anything, although I've grown fond of my system 32 file so I think I'll hold on to that one.
