When I was playing on a server suddenly I had a lagspike or I tought like that, I was talking to my friend at the same time who we play together on the same server and he said to me that there was nothing with the server not lag or anything. The wwierd thing is that he told me my chartacter was standing still on the server, altough on my screen I was mıoving pounching blocks. The problem was that chunks wouldnt even load, even ıf I ounched a dirt it wouldnt drop as an item. after 30 second of this massive lag, suddenly everything started to move, (btw I did not had any lag while this was happening, I immediatly checked my ping). Then I disconnected from the server, and tried to connect the same server again and it stuc at loading terrain for 5 times that I tried. after a while I maanged to get in to the server and the wierd lag happened again. It's wierd because it is different than the actual lag, its like you move in the past, everything appears later on. I was speaking to my friend on the skype the same time he was moving around the game while I was laggin than he said toı me he disconnected(at his will). but in my screen/game he moved around a bit more but did not disconnected, his actions were coming to me delayed. Then I disconnected from the server, I wanted to see if it was a server related issue, I tried to connect to other servers such as hypixel, when I tried to do it, It gave me the "Unknown host" error, altough the server was up and online. I can still connect to the server that I played, but I have this wierd lag. This thing suddenly happened and I do not now what to do.
Stuttering lag is performance based, meaning it is your computer's hardware causing the lag. Network lag is what you described, in which you seem to be moving freely, but to others, you are standing still, or rubberbanding where you seem to be bounced around as you move as though you are attached to a rubber band. This means that for whatever reason the game stopped communicating with the server. There are many reason why this could happen. It may not even be you or the server but just general internet traffic happening between the both of you. It could be your ISP working on cables somewhere. Really can't say.
