will pc minecraft saves work on a mac?

If I have some saved worlds created on pc mincraft (windows 10), and I copy those save files to minecraft running on a macbook pro, will minecraft on the macbook pro be able to use those save files?

As long as you're not talking about Windows 10 edition, yes the Java version worlds work on PC or Mac.
