Hi all, I'm new here. I think this goes in the client forum as far as I could tell because the problem happens while I'm playing on my client.
I'm running a vanilla minecraft 1.10.2 server on Ubuntu Server 14.04. It's been running great.
My brother and I have been playing on this one survival world for a few months now without problems, at least not ones we could solve ourselves.
There is an area of cobblestone inside of our house where there is a strange glitch. There are two very specific blocks where I can not place other blocks. I've uploaded a screen shot to show this. They're the two cobblestone floor blocks adjacent to the right of the pumpkin and iron door, under the unfinished wall.
To be more specific, I can place blocks there but they instantly disappear. The blocks in my inventory are depleted each time and no blocks drop themselves in the world. However, if I move the stack of blocks I was using in my inventory, all the blocks I just placed instantly return. If I use the entire stack, I can just click the inventory slot where they were and they instantly reappear. I can reproduce this with any block from any inventory slot. I can mine/place all blocks around/adjacent to these two spaces without problems. The server isn't lagging as I can do all other actions, block placement, and mining anywhere else in the world. I have restarted the server and my client/machine without resolve.
Has this ever happened to anyone? Any help would be much appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions. As you can see, it's really annoying because it's the wall that protects my house from the Nether Portal! Thanks!
