Sometimes, as I'm playing Minecraft the w key stops working and I have to repress it. This happens every 10-20 seconds. I saw a post about this and I went to Event Viewer- Window Logs- Application and saw that a program called Information and the source is RestartManager is trying to run and this is what causes the problem, is there a way I can stop it from doing this? Thank you!
I'm actually having the same problem, and it's most certainly not my keyboard. I've tried different bindings (W, 2, F, Z, etc., just tried a few), plus I tried a different keyboard for good measure. Also held down 'W' in Notepad with no interruptions in the repeat rate for several minutes.
Randomly (sometimes every few seconds, sometimes more than a minute), my character stops moving forward, as if I released the 'forward' key. I tested strafe left/right and back keys as well, and they are either not affected or I just got real lucky. Both local and multiplayer worlds are affected equally.
I play other games that require holding a key down (usually W) to move forward, and those games are not affected. Only Minecraft seems to exhibit this behavior, and it did not happen on 1.8 or 1.9 snapshots. I've been away for a while and just came back, so I don't know about 1.9 release or earlier 1.10 builds.
I especially notice it when flying around in Creative, as there are long periods of forward flight without interruption. Unlike hitting an obstacle, my character actually decelerates as if I simply let go of the key, as opposed to stopping instantly.
Win10, Minecraft 1.10.2.

Curse PremiumCheck key bindings. Make sure you didn't unbind it.
Former everything.
How to get dxdiag
It's probably your keyboard.
How would I check the key bindings? Sorry I don't know, thanks for answering!
You wouldn't check it. What I mean is that your keyboard may be broken.
Sorry I meant how would you check the key bindings.
It actually randomly started working again so maybe it was just something with the keyboard. Thanks for your help anyways!
