I was redirected here after making a support ticket. Basically I get this error when attempting to log: http://imgur.com/a/O01wz
It started happening when I updated to the newer MinecraftInstaller.msi, rather than using the old .exe. I tried reverting, but that didn't work. I also tried using a third party program called magic launcher. Still gives the same problem. In the support ticket I was asked to try disabling my firewall (Trend Microsoft Internet Security) and/or re-download Java, as my current version may be broken. I have tried both and no luck. I have also tried deleting minecraft completely and reinstalling. Still no luck.
As the message in the image says, make sure nothing is blocking minecraft, antivirus or firewall.
So I added C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe to my anti virus exception list and I allowed all java related things in the WIndows firewall. (http://imgur.com/a/C5JMy)
Unless a restart is required to take effect, I did not seem to work.
Edit: Restarted computer just to make sure, and still no luck.
