I have recently gotten this problem where I lag hard. I usually get 700+ fps when playing minecraft but it has gone down to 150...which is still fine. Now the problem is that every 15 secs it would spike for a sec. And after playing for some time, fps eventually gone down to 0-5. I tried turning down settings but it didnt work(and it looks horrible lol). It was all fine a few days ago, it started causing problems today. I play on 1.7(all versions had problems)
I have a good pc with good cpu and gpu that I can run gta 5 so dont worry abt that
limit the FPS to something sane like 60FPS, trust me, unless you have a 144 hertz monitor that is the most your screen can display anyway. doing this should improve performance as minecraft is bad at prioritizing CPU/GPU ussage
no it doesn't, it needs the java the computer is running, i only have 64bit installed and minecraft runs
technically speaking you do not need java installed at all anymore with the new launcher, it will download it's own version to use, this also means updating the main java files is useless unless you spesifically tell minecraft to use them

Curse Premium700+ FPS seems a little much and you should cut that power so it takes some of the load off your GPU.
What GPU are you running and have you updated the drivers?
Personal Note:
I have 2 PCs
Intel Core i7 8-Core Processor 4.0Ghz
EVGA GTX 980 Ti
16 GB of DDR4 1866Mhz RAM
AMD FX 4200 Quad-Core Processor 3.4Ghz
EVGA GTX 750 Ti
16 GB of DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
I don't get hear 560 FPS with the 980 Ti, and it's one of the most powerful cards on the market.
980 Ti > Avg FPS 560
750 Ti > Avg FPS 220
Asking why I have so much resources on these PC's? I don't just do gaming.
Former everything.
How to get dxdiag
Well, seems JVM argument could be the problem.
Try to add more memory
Check my guide here

Minecraft needs 32 and 64 bit versions of java, do you have both?
