Hello, I've been having an issue in my game with multiplayer. I hadn't downloaded anything new or updated anything, and my minecraft suddenly started timing out on every multiplayer server. The message it gives me is only "Timed Out" and my internet should be able to handle minecraft. Any other games I play don't have any latency issues or anything ping related, but on minecraft I'll be able to log in and play for around 10 to 20 seconds before everything and everyone freezes and I'll be able to walk around for about another 10 to 20 seconds before I time out. I've been using an internet usb connecting to my router for my connection for the longest time and have never had this issue before. I've tried a multitude of options like flushing dns, reinstalling java, reinstalling minecraft, turning my router and modem off and on again over and over. My prediction is that I need a new internet usb or router, yet that doesn't explain why any other games play fine. Rarely, I'll be able to play for an hour or so without timing out, so that's why I'm thinking it's more internet related. I'm really confused here and if anyone else has experience with this issue I would appreciate any input.
(All I use is optifine, but I've tried playing without it and I still time out)
My download speed is currently averaging around 40 mbps, 12 ping, and 4 mbps on the upload. Minecraft is the only thing with bad connection.
I've even tried turning my firewalls and everything off, and apologies, I'll be more concise with what's happening.
When I join any server, after a short while, everything will freeze for around 10 to 20 seconds then I will be disconnected from the server. I don't receive an error message. When disconnected it reads "Timed Out" and gives me the option to go back to the title screen.

Weird.. Never heard about this problem..
Make sure that Java and Minecraft is allowed by your firewall!
BTW: Can you tell the full error sentence??

Does this error happen on any server or just 1?
