I can get 60+fps with some shaders turned on and the framerate set to unlimited. However, with every shader I try, setting it to Vsync locks it at 30fps instead of the normal 60 it does without shaders (60Hz monitor). If I manually set the max rate to anything above 30fps, I get terrible screen tearing. What's going on?
I understand Vsync, but what I find weird is that it seems to actually limit the monitor's refresh rate. For instance, setting the limit to 40,50, or 60fps instead of Vsync will keep the game running at that framerate, but I will get screen tearing even though the monitor's refresh rate is higher than the fps.
