Hi... I recently built a desktop pc to play games such as Fallout 4, GTA V, DOOM ect. It runs those games at 60fps with most setting maxed. I also like to play minecraft but I am lucky if I get 40 fps... Sometimes it drops below 20. The specs are
Processor Intel i7 6700k
Motherboad MSI M3 z170
Ram 8 gigs ddr4
Graphics Card MSI GTX 1070.
Ive have the most up to date version of 64 bit java and optifine doesn't make a difference. What can I do? Thanks.
A few variables that may not be accounted for:
-Just because you have high RAM, doesn't mean it has a good amount of it dedicated. In JVM Arguments, change the amount of RAM if you haven't already.
-I've heard from my own problems that sometimes if you don't have it directed to the 64-bit. I'm not exactly sure why, but this is an example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe"
-Check your internet connection and/ or set a higher priority for the software through Task Manager
My JVM Arguments line for dedicated RAM is "-Xmx8192M -Xms8192M -Xmn4096M"
Another thing would be to change your Video Settings (I. e Graphics: Fast, Clouds: Off, etc.)
