Ever since I got my gaming computer last December, I've been having connection issues in the entirety of Minecraft. I cant play ANY multiplayer server without lagging/freezing every 5 seconds. It also happens when I attack/take damage. I can't even kill a zombie in single player without having connection issues. My usual FPS is around 200-400, so FPS is not the issue at all here.
I have an i5 processor, and I doubt that's it because I can run Minecraft PERFECTLY on my grandparent's computer; and they have an i5 processor.
About 2 weeks ago, I had my internet amplified to get better connection overall, but it hasn't helped my Minecraft lag issue. I have at least perfect connection on EVERY steam game I actively play (Ex: Counter-Strike: Global Offense, COD: Black Ops III, Garry's Mod, Dead By Daylight, Grand Theft Auto: V, Left4Dead2, etc.)
The only mods I have installed are Optifine, and Better Sprint Mod; but this issue was happening before I installed the mods. When I go back to recent Minecraft versions (1.8, 1.7, 1.6, etc.) the issue still stands strongly.
The lag happens whenever I break a block, attack rapidly, or take any sort of damage; and it happens by default every 3-5 seconds (I freeze for longer when I commit to the listed actions).
I've already made 2 forums about this but no one seems to want to help me. I NEED this help because personally, minecraft is one of my favorite games, it has always been, and when I got my new computer I was SO happy to play minecraft without the FPS lag I had on my old laptop. Please help me out on this, thanks.
