Ok, so I'm using an older Mac (this is temporary, my good computer is being fixed), and because it's so old I had to use the legacy version. When I opened the launcher and logged in, I hit play. When it tries to open, it opens for a split second, closes, and then the Minecraft launcher gives me this log:
